Dearest lovely board members:
We are so close! Pixel Revolt is almost out and I'm very happy to enter the next (and best) phase: touring the h*ll out of the record. And that I will. We'll be doing a full US tour this fall and next spring, and hopefully some European and Australian stuff in between.
I do believe I have the best band EVER. We've been in rehearsal since May and have learned 11 songs on PR, plus tons of back catalog. We're hoping to be knowledgeable enough to take requests. Obscure requests.
Dave Douglas you probably know from the Cellar Door tours; David Broecker and Ian Bjornstad are brilliant musicians and wonderful people. Oh, and they both sing backup. With any luck, this will be my permanent band, hence the search for a band name.
I have taken to heart all suggestions regarding venues and cities. We were very close to getting Pittsburgh this time. I PROMISE we'll be there in the spring. If you lobby, we will come.
Yes, It's true I don't post on the board very often, but I always wanted this board to flourish without me, and that it has. I am constantly surprised and inspired by all the activity here.
Let us praise Merlin Mann, our message board master and creator.
And let's give love to Joe Williams, who did the artwork for Pixel Revolt and is doing the ENTIRE fall campaign.
Some news: they'll be two new Pixel Revolt-related releases early next year: 1) A live to 2-track acoustic version recorded in a chicken coop at Prairie Sun Studio in Cotati, CA. 2) A Scott Solter destructo remix version, a la MGM Endings. Both will be for sale on the spring tour.
And here's an early link to the Pixel Revolt User's Guide, which will be posted next week:

Thanks and much love to you,
